About the Role The Recruiting Room is looking for an experienced Subprime Finance Manager to join our client's team. In this role, you will help customers secure vehicle financing solutions, especially those with challenged or non-prime credit. You will work closely with customers, lenders, and the sales team to structure deals, secure approvals, and deliver an outstanding customer experience.
Responsibilities Customer Finance & Lending
Meet with customers to review financing needs and credit situations
Structure vehicle finance and lease deals
Secure approvals through prime and non-prime lending partners
Negotiate financing terms with lenders
Help customers rebuild credit through available finance programs
Ensure a smooth and professional delivery experience
Sales & Profitability
Present financing options and payment solutions
Offer extended warranties, protection plans, and other aftermarket products
Work closely with the sales team to maximize vehicle sales opportunities
Achieve monthly finance and profitability targets
Maintain strong relationships with lending institutions
Administration & Compliance
Complete finance paperwork accurately and efficiently
Ensure all transactions comply with dealership and regulatory requirements
Maintain up-to-date knowledge of lender programs and approval guidelines
Track funding and follow up on outstanding documentation
Maintain accurate customer records within dealership systems
Qualifications Required
Previous experience as a:
Finance Manager
Subprime Finance Manager
Special Finance Manager
Automotive Business Manager
Strong understanding of automotive financing and credit analysis
Experience working with prime and non-prime lenders
Excellent communication and negotiation skills
Strong organizational and administrative abilities
Experience using dealership management systems (DMS) and CRM software
Valid driver's license with a clean driving record
Preferred
Knowledge of Canadian automotive finance regulations
Existing relationships with banks, credit unions, and non-prime lenders
Experience with credit rebuilding programs
Strong track record of approvals, funding, and profitability
