Automotive Service Manager, Medicine Hat, AB
We are currently seeking an experienced and motivated Automotive Service Manager to lead our client’s service department in Medicine Hat, Alberta.

The successful candidate will be responsible for overseeing daily service operations, leading a team of technicians and advisors, driving customer satisfaction, and achieving departmental performance goals.
The Offer

Key Responsibilities
  • Manage the day-to-day operations of the service department
  • Lead, coach, and develop Service Advisors and Technicians
  • Monitor department productivity, efficiency, and profitability
  • Ensure exceptional customer service and customer satisfaction
  • Review and manage work-in-progress (WIP)
  • Assist with scheduling and workflow management
  • Monitor technician performance and shop efficiency
  • Handle customer concerns and resolve issues professionally
  • Maintain manufacturer and company standards
  • Work closely with Parts and Sales departments to support dealership goals
  • Monitor departmental KPIs including labour sales, gross profit, CSI, and technician productivity
Qualifications
  • Previous experience as a Service Manager, or Assistant Service Manager
  • Strong leadership and team-building skills
  • Excellent customer service and communication abilities
  • Understanding of dealership service operations and fixed operations metrics
  • Ability to motivate staff and drive results
  • Strong organizational and problem-solving skills
  • Experience with dealership management systems is considered an asset
  • Valid driver's license required
Preferred Experience
  • Automotive dealership experience
  • OEM dealership background considered an asset
  • Experience managing technicians, advisors, and shop workflow
  • Strong understanding of warranty processes and service department financials
