Automotive Finance Director, Vancouver and Lower Mainland
Overview: An Automotive Finance Director oversees the finance and insurance (F&I) operations within a dealership, ensuring profitability, compliance, and customer satisfaction. This role involves managing finance managers, liaising with lenders, and developing strategies to optimize finance product penetration.
Key Responsibilities:

Leadership & Management:
- Direct staffing and training of F&I managers.
- Supervise daily operations of the finance department.
- Conduct regular sales and finance meetings.
- Ensure compliance with dealership policies and provincial/federal regulations.

Finance Operations:
- Present and close vehicle financing and insurance deals.
- Review and structure deals according to lender and dealership guidelines.
- Maintain accurate documentation and funding packages.
- Analyze credit reports and assist in deal approvals.

Lender Relations:
- Establish and maintain relationships with financial institutions.
- Evaluate and implement new lender programs.
- Maintain a lender guide and ensure competitive financing options.

Sales & Reporting:
- Track and report finance office performance.
- Analyze sales history and market trends to develop finance strategies.
- Prepare financial reports and policy remittances.

Customer Service:
- Ensure transparency and ethical standards in all deals.
- Maintain confidentiality of customer information.
- Provide tailored financing solutions to meet customer needs.
Qualifications:
- Minimum 2–5 years of experience in automotive finance.
- Strong leadership and interpersonal skills.
- In-depth knowledge of automotive financing, leasing, and insurance products.
- Familiarity with provincial regulations and the Fair Credit Reporting Act.
- Ability to analyze financial data and credit reports.
- Excellent communication and negotiation skills.
Salary Range:
Typically between $150,000 – $225,000 annually, depending on experience
